A meno di una settimana dalla conclusione del Tesla Rally di Belgrado, che ha visto l’affermazione del duo Massimo Liverani – Fulvio Ciervo (Fiat Abarth) davanti a Guido Guerrini – Francesca Olivoni (Alfa Romeo) e agli sloveni Gregor Zdvoc – Nenad Stojanovic (Toyota), nuovo impegno per gli equipaggi del Campionato del Mondo FIA Energie Alternative. Sabato e domenica è infatti in programma la prima edizione del Rally Eco Bulgaria, sesta delle nove tappe iridate della stagione 2013.

La gara, con partenza e arrivo nella capitale Sofia, si svilupperà su 542 chilometri complessivi, comprendenti sette prove speciali. Per il team toscano Imega Corse, il pilota Guido Guerrini sarà affiancato da Isabelle Barciulli: “Sono molto motivata e pronta e dare il mio contributo alla squadra”, dice la giovane co-pilota. “Per quanto sia all’esordio nel Campionato mondiale nel ruolo di navigatrice, cercherò di mettere a frutto l’esperienza maturata lo scorso anno come pilota nel mondiale e come co-pilota nel campionato italiano”.

Per Guerrini, attualmente secondo in classifica generale dietro al campione del mondo in carica Massimo Liverani, “il fatto che la gara bulgara sia nel calendario del mondiale per la prima volta impedisce di avere troppi elementi di valutazione, tuttavia in genere i percorsi nei Paesi dell’Est Europa ci sono congeniali, per cui”, dice il pilota di Sansepolcro, “ci avviciniamo a questa gara con la massima fiducia”.

La gara bulgara vedrà rinnovarsi il consueto e avvincente duello tra l’equipaggio toscano, che gareggerà su Alfa Romeo Mito alimentata con impianto a gpl Imega, e la Fiat 500 Abarth a metano del team EcoMotori, guidata da Liverani. Tra gli altri concorrenti occhio però alla vecchia volpe francese Raymond Durand (campione del mondo nel 2009 e nel 2010) in coppia con Christian Fine, e ad una delle rilevazioni di questa prima parte di stagione, lo sloveno Zdvoc.
