La Torino-Pechino torna nella penisola balcanica

Sinj e Scutari tra le tappe del nuovo viaggio della Fiat Marea tra ecologia e solidarietà.
Un ritorno alle origini della propria storia per l’Associazione Culturale Torino-Pechino-La Macchina della Pace, visto che questa realtà vide la propria nascita e sviluppo, seppur con nome e forme differenti, con i primi viaggi nell’ex Jugoslavia avvenuti alla fine degli anni ’90 e nei primi anni del nuovo secolo. Proprio il rilancio del gemellaggio con la città croata di Sinj e la documentazione dei danni della terribile guerra che infiammò la penisola balcanica diedero il via alla lunga serie di viaggi che l’associazione ancora effettua. E’ un ritorno agli inizi anche per la mitica Fiat Marea che fu testata per la prima volta nel 2007 proprio per le strade degli stati sorti dalle ceneri della Jugoslavia, in una prova di resistenza propedeutica al viaggio dell’anno successivo alle Olimpiadi di Pechino.
Questa volta l’associazione torna sulle orme dei primi viaggi sostando due giorni, assieme a numerosi altri concittadini valtiberini, nella città damata di Sinj in occasione della tradizionale festa dell’Alka, ospiti del console onorario Luka Lisica-Prijateljica, per poi recarsi nella multietnica Sarajevo ormai rinata dopo i terribili giorni dell’assedio nei primi anni ’90. Dalla città che ospitò le Olimpiadi invernali del 1984, l’equipaggio della Torino-Pechino si sposterà a Scutari, nel nord dell’Albania, ospiti della campionessa di Ecorally Desara Muriqi e della sua famiglia, che oramai da una decina di anni risiedono a Sansepolcro. Scutari sarà la base di altre due escursioni, la prima nel paesino di Gjader nella regione della Zadrima, laddove ha sede un centro di formazione professionale gestito dalle Maestre Pie Venerini, sorto anche grazie alla solidarietà degli abitanti di Sansepolcro, che attraverso la Diocesi, sempre negli anni ’90, fecero nascere questo importante progetto. Guerrini stesso partecipò assieme al responsabile dell’Azione Cattolica dell’epoca Massimo Canosci e altri biturgensi ad una missione di solidarietà pochi giorni prima dell’inizio del conflitto in Kosovo. E proprio un’escursione nella regione dallo status internazionale controverso, appunto il Kosovo, sarà l’ultimo impegno di questo viaggio chilometricamente meno faticoso del solito, ma sicuramente interessante e avvincente. In Kosovo, oltre alla visita dei luoghi storici della provincia un tempo sotto il controllo serbo, l’equipaggio della Torino-Pechino visiterà sia le zone a maggioranza albanese che le enclavi dove ancora vive popolazione serba, con l’intenzione di partecipare a progetti di solidarietà volti al miglioramento delle condizioni di vita delle comunità kosovare.
Inutile sottolineare come l’intero viaggio avverrà con l’utilizzo di soli combustibili ecologici grazie alla collaborazione con l’azienda di Sansepolcro Imega, leader nazionale nella costruzione di impianti metano e gpl. Il costo dei viaggi dell’Associazione Culturale Torino-Pechino sono completamente a carico dei partecipanti ed in alcuni casi, per i viaggi più lunghi e complessi, si ricorre all’aiuto di sponsor privati.
